Easy

If your PC is crashing, it often generates log files (called minidump files) that can help us identify the cause. Here’s how you can locate and upload these files so we can analyse them.

Steps to Upload the Minidump Files

Locate the Minidump Files

Open File Explorer: Navigate to the C: Drive: Open the WINDOWS Folder: Find the Minidump Folder: Locate the Minidump Files:

● Press Windows + E or open File Explorer from your taskbar.
● Click on This PC or Computer and select the C: drive (usually labelled Local Disk (C:)).
● Inside your C: drive, locate and open the WINDOWS folder.
● Inside the WINDOWS folder, look for a folder named Minidump and open it.
● In the Minidump folder, you should see one or more files with the .dmp extension. These files are your minidump logs.

Prepare the Minidump Files for Upload

Select the Minidump Files: Compress the Files (Optional):

● Highlight the files you want to upload. If there are multiple files, you can select them all.
● Right-click on the selected files, choose Send to, and then Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a .zip file containing all the minidump files, making it easier to upload.

Upload the Minidump Files

Choose Your Upload Method: Share the Link (if using cloud storage):

● You can upload the .zip file directly or use a cloud storage service (like Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar).
● If you’re using Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., make sure to set the permissions to allow us access, then copy and paste the shareable link.
