The platforms

Each platform is a starting point. Tell us what you run and we’ll adjust the configuration to suit before we build.

Before we quote, we ask three things: what software you run, how big your projects or datasets get, and where the machine will live. Those answers shape the build more than any benchmark does.

We size to the job. If a single-GPU workstation will do the work, that is what we’ll recommend.

  • CORE FOCUS: RYZEN 9 9950X3D | 2x RTX 5060 Ti 16GB

    Dual-GPU

    CORE FOCUS

Two graphics cards in one tower

Two RTX 5060 Ti 16GB cards give 32GB of graphics memory across the pair. Renders and training runs that split across cards finish sooner, and you can leave one card driving your screens while the other works.

    Suited to

GPU render queues. Path-traced renderers such as Blender Cycles, Redshift and Octane can split frames across both cards.

Fine-tuning and local AI models that outgrow one 16GB card but don’t need a server.

Working while it renders, with your screens on one card and the job on the other.

  • ECHELON: RYZEN 9 9950X3D2 | RTX 5090

    RTX 5090 · 128GB memory

    ECHELON

    One card, the most memory

When a scene, simulation or model has to fit on a single card, memory matters more than card count. ECHELON pairs an RTX 5090 with 32GB of graphics memory and 128GB of system memory.

    Suited to

Large single scenes in tools that render or simulate on one GPU, where a second card adds little.

Big datasets and long timelines that need plenty of system memory.

Viewport-heavy work in CAD, 3D and video, which runs on one fast card and the processor.

  • A custom Nebula workstation in a black tower case

    Custom multi-GPU

Built around your model or render farm

Past two cards, the platform matters as much as the graphics cards: enough PCIe lanes to feed every card, and the power and airflow to keep them running for hours. We spec these builds around your software, data size and number of users, then quote.

    Suited to

Training or rendering most working days, where owning the hardware can cost less than renting it by the hour.

Models or scenes too large for one card, split across several.

Data that has to stay on your premises for privacy or contract reasons.

Matching machines for a studio, lab or office

The same configuration built several times, so every seat runs the same software the same way. Multi-unit orders get volume pricing, and every system has our three-year parts and labour warranty and free lifetime remote support.

    Suited to

Studios and labs that need every seat on one spec.

Not sure which platform fits?

Send us the software you use, how big your projects get and where the machine will sit. We’ll reply with a suggested configuration and a quote. If a single-GPU workstation does the job, we’ll tell you.

Multi-GPU, explained

How we decide whether more graphics cards will help. It holds wherever you end up buying.

  • What scales across cards, and what doesn’t

GPU path-traced rendering and data-parallel training split well: two cards get close to twice the throughput. Editing timelines, CAD viewports and interactive work on a single scene mostly run on one GPU and the processor, so a second card adds little. Which of these fills most of your day is the first thing we ask.

  • Graphics memory is a ceiling, not a speed

A model or scene either fits in a card’s memory or it doesn’t. When it doesn’t, the job fails or falls back to system memory and slows right down. In most software two cards don’t add their memory together: a 20GB scene needs 20GB on each card. That’s why we ask about model and scene sizes before core counts, and why a card with more memory often beats a faster one with less.

  • More cards is a platform decision

Desktop processors have a limited number of PCIe lanes, so past two cards the processor and motherboard decide whether each card gets full bandwidth. Power delivery and airflow decide whether they can all run flat out for hours. On larger builds the platform is usually a bigger decision than the cards themselves.

  • GeForce or workstation cards

GeForce cards give the most performance per dollar and suit most rendering and AI work. Workstation cards earn their price when your software needs certified drivers, when a job needs more memory per card, or when several cards sit close together under constant load. The GeForce RTX 50 series doesn’t support NVLink, so multi-GPU software talks over PCIe. We choose by workload, not by tier.

  • Checked before it ships

Every system is hand-assembled in our Seven Hills workshop, loaded with current drivers and put through our quality-control check before dispatch. If the machine will run flat out overnight, tell us, and we’ll spec the cooling and power supply for that from the start.

Questions about your own workload? We’d rather talk it through before you commit to a configuration.
