Tools Needed
If your RGB fans aren't responding correctly, resetting and resyncing the RGB hub can help. Follow this guide to reset and resync your RGB hub.
Why Do I Need to Resync & Reset the Hub?
The PC should arrive with the appropriate RGB apps configured and the hub all synced up. It can occur, however, that when other apps are installed, it causes a clash and desync. Resyncing can help resolve this issue.
Steps to Reset & Resync Your RGB Hub
Remove the Side Panel
● Loosen the screws at the back of your PC and slide off the back panel. The exact method may vary depending on your chassis.
● Note: Your PC will need to be powered on for the hub to sync.
Locate the RGB Hub and Bridging Pins
● Loosen the screws at the back of your PC and slide off the back panel. The exact method may vary depending on your chassis.
● Note: Your PC will need to be powered on for the hub to sync.
Bridge the Pins
● Hold the metal tip of a screwdriver on the two pins for 1-2 seconds while the PC is on.
● Bridging the pins for 5 or more seconds may switch the RGB off. If this happens, bridge the pins for another 5-10 seconds to turn the RGB back on.
Check for Changes
● You will see the fan lights change to sync up and match the color you've pre-selected through your motherboard RGB software (e.g., Armoury Crate, RGB Fusion, or MSI Centre).
